Wil and his wife, Ghana, joined the UUCM 6 years ago. They have 3 children, Adanna, Zuri and Osaze. As a music educator for over 28 years, Wil is currently the Music Director at Dr. Susan S. McKinney Secondary School of the Arts in Brooklyn New York. He is also the Performing Arts Director for Big Apple Leadership Academy for the Arts, which is a not for profit that provides opportunities for urban youth to participate in creative outlets such as dance, marching band, etc. Throughout a span of 40 years, Wil’s eclectic musical career has put him on the stage with Classical Orchestras to R&B singers to Rap artists. He has been an active part of the music program at UUCM. You might hear him playing his trumpet on any given Sunday or singing with the choir. Wil is excited for the opportunity to add his voice and life experiences to the Board as we all navigate these times of social injustice and make this world a place we would ALL be proud to call home.
