iPonder: Imagination

From Antonia Bell-Delgado, Intern Minister

We use a themed worship program called Soul Matters in our congregation.

As a new minister, it has been helpful for me to have this resource to study and consider when I am thinking of what I want to preach about. However, I have noticed something about the way that I use it now compared to how I used it as a congregant. As a congregant, I used it as a supplement to my weekly worship services. Back in those days, the packets helped me through. They helped me to shape my theological understandings and think of things that I hadn’t considered. They offered me a wider perspective of what it meant to be a UU. They helped me to get my imagination stirring again when the slough of my humdrum life seemed to drone from one day to the next.

I don’t know if you know this but right here in the Gazette part of the Soul Matters packet is made available to you. I ponder if you’ve noticed and if you have what has it sparked in your imagination?

In compassion and faith,
Intern Minister Antonia
